We are looking for a motivated and experienced Assembly Leading Hand to expand our talented workshop team.


You will be responsible for supervising and performing production work in factories.  Work duties may include supervision and operation of machinery, supervising and assembling machinery, operating plant and equipment and other related duties.

 You will be responsible for turning out products or parts of products.


  • Supervision and production of AusCut products in accordance with customer requirements

  • Overseeing assembly facility

  • Follow Lean Manufacturing concepts as implemented within the facility

  • Attending daily briefings

  • Supervising subcontractors and other workers (including training)

  • Ensuring workers follow correct work procedures and safety precautions

  • Maintaining health & safety records

  • Keep work on schedule and hold meetings with workers and upper level management

  • Ordering and following up on material deliveries

  • Operating and assembling all production machinery as necessary

  • Using specialised tools as necessary to construct products to customer requirements

  • Performing quality assurance on end product

  • Forklifting to dispatch area (if holder of current licence)

  • Sufficient engineering or mechanical experience

  • Familiar with production equipment and machinery

  • Proficient in understanding and being able to work from CAD drawings

  • Forklift and Heavy Rigid license beneficial

  • Some experience with following strict quality assurance processes and procedures

  • Lifting and carrying equipment
